Who We Are

We’re Joseph and Brittany, a small homestead-based family building a life around simple things done well.

Brittany is the one in the kitchen—turning flour, sourdough, and long fermentation into fresh bread that fills the house. Joseph is usually nearby doing what he does best: eating it, filming it, and figuring out how to grow the next thing outside. Our two children, Gideon and Haven, are right in the middle of it all—learning, helping, and growing up with dirt under their nails and something always baking on the counter.

Between us, we’re raising chickens, tending apple and peach trees, and slowly building a backyard that produces more than it consumes.

“Bake, Raise, Build” is just our day-to-day life on repeat. Bake what we can from scratch. Raise animals and food with care. Build the kind of systems that make life a little more grounded, a little more self-sufficient, and a lot more real.

This page is where we share what we’re learning along the way—wins, mistakes, experiments, and the small moments that make homesteading worth it.
